Overview
Built for trout-focused spinning setups, this rod is aimed at anglers who want a light, responsive option for presenting smaller lures with control. Its ultra-light power and fast action are paired with St. Croix’s SCII carbon fiber blank, along with FRS technology and SCVI reinforcements, to deliver a sensitive feel without losing structural support. The split-grip EVA handle is designed for comfort during longer sessions, while the SeaGuide Atlas Performance guides and NPS reel seat round out a practical, fishing-first build. It is a specialized choice for trout fishing, so anglers looking for a more general-purpose rod may want to consider that narrower focus.

Considerations & Trade-offs
- The 6' ultra-light, fast-action build is tuned for trout-focused presentations, so it may feel specialized if you want a more versatile rod for heavier techniques or larger species.
- Its emphasis on sensitivity and casting lighter lures means it is best matched to lighter tackle rather than applications that call for more power.
- The split-grip EVA handle supports all-day use, but it is still a comfort-focused design choice rather than a full-length grip.
- The rod includes a 5-year St. Croix warranty, but that does not change the need to match the rod’s ultra-light power and fast action to the right fishing conditions.
