Considerations & Trade-offs
- Requires a power source for recharging, so it is not a standalone solution for extended trips without USB access or a compatible solar setup.
- Designed for treating 32 fl. oz. at a time in 90 seconds, so larger water needs will require repeated cycles.
- Works with clear containers and open water treatment, but it does not remove sediment or improve taste, so source water quality still matters.
- Includes a UV bulb life status indicator, which means the unit depends on the condition of its UV system and needs monitoring over time.
