SureFire SOCOM 3-Prong Flash Hider Features The SureFire SOCOM 3-Prong Flash Hider features a patent-pending 3-prong design that reduces visible muzzle flash by more than 99% over a plain muzzle for a dramatic reduction in shooter signature across .308 and 7.62mm rifle platforms in low-light and tactical applications. The Ionbond DLC finish provides a harder more heat-resistant surface treatment than powder-coat anodized or painted finishes for long-term durability across sustained high-volume fire and harsh field conditions. A rear seal minimizes carbon build-up in the indexing system keeping the SOCOM mounting interface clean for easier suppressor removal even after repeated firing sessions without disassembly. The .308/7.62mm muzzle device and suppressor adapter is compatible with Armalite AR-10 DPMS LR-308 and 7.62mm rifles with 5/8x24 muzzle threads and mounts SureFire SOCOM Series 7.62mm suppressors via quick-detach Fast-Attach engagement for rapid suppressor deployment and removal without tools or permanent modifications to the host rifle. At 2.8 overall it adds minimal length to the host barrel while delivering the full flash reduction and suppressor mounting capability of the SOCOM 3-Prong platform.
