SureFire PROCOMP Features The SureFire PROCOMP uses SureFire s patented Impulse Diffusion design to significantly reduce recoil impulse and muzzle rise on 7.62mm AR-10 and LR-308 rifle platforms keeping the weapon tracking straight back for faster shot-to-shot recovery and more consistent follow-up shot placement across precision competition and tactical rifle applications. Neutral porting distributes brake loads evenly across bipod legs for shooters who run supported positions maintaining consistent bipod contact and minimizing walking during sustained fire. Blind pilot holes at the 3 and 9 o clock positions allow the user to fine-tune recoil reduction for different shooting styles and ammunition with only a basic hand drill and a hole at the 6 o clock position facilitates bottom dead center indexing and pin-and-weld installation on short-barreled rifles. The 7.62mm AR-10 muzzle brake is machined from US mill-certified steel bar stock with high-precision cut threads for a perfect fit on 5/8x24 threaded AR-10 and LR-308 barrels with a black Melonite finish providing maximum protection against corrosion and abrasion in harsh field and duty environments. The PROCOMP copies the design of the SureFire SOCOM SFMB-762 muzzle brake for proven recoil reduction performance at a price point that does not include suppressor adapter capability.
