SKU: the-scabbard
Built for securing long guns on frame-based carry systems, this rifle scabbard is intended for hunters and other users who need a stable way to transport a firearm over distance. It was originally developed for the PGM Hecate II .50 BMG for French military units, but it is also designed to accommodate smaller precision rifles and adjust ride height through its two-part system. The scabbard can be paired with compatible bags on top and is made to work best with 22" ARK frames, while also fitting Newplex and Duplex frames. Its design includes a centered drawstring closure, top strap attachment points, and a muzzle cone with padded and fiberglass-lined sections, though users should allow a hot barrel or suppressor to cool before insertion.

| Long Description | Addressing the need to secure long guns for the long haul with our frame platforms, our Rifle scabbard was originally designed to carry the PGM Hecate II .50 BMG rifle for the French military units, but it needed to fit smaller precision rifles as well. The necessity to adjust the ride height of the rifle led to the two-part Scabbard system. There is an inner muzzle cone rides on two tracks on either side of the reinforced tunnel. Easily piggyback any Duplex / ARK compatible bag by mounting it on top of the scabbard via the internal core that is exposed with the front vertical zipper. While the Rifle Scabbard is designed to work best with the 22" ARK frames, it will fit on any of our Newplex or Duplex frames. The Scabbard is made from 500d Cordura, 500d padded cordura, silicone fiberglass insulated sheet, laser cut laminate and milspec webbing. There are three webbing tabs at the top of the back of the scabbard to hook the top strap into for securing the weapon. The top drawstring has a dual posi-locking cord closure that will keep the rifle centered in the scabbard and eliminate side to side sway. The bottom 11" of muzzle cone front and back are lined with fiberglass to hold up to heat from a suppressor or warm barrel. THIS WON'T KEEP A RED-HOT CAN FROM MELTING THE FABRIC ON THE OTHER SIDE, please let your gun cool before inserting the firearm. The muzzle cone has padded cordura front and back to protect your gun. The Scabbard allows you adjust the length of the system whether you are using a suppressor or need a more compact rig for riding dirt bikes or horses, all while keeping it protected. It is designed to secure and carry long guns on frame platforms for the long haul. The description says it was originally developed to carry the PGM Hecate II .50 BMG rifle for French military units, and it was also intended to fit smaller precision rifles.
It is designed to work best with 22" ARK frames, but it will fit on any Newplex or Duplex frames.
Yes. The description says you can piggyback any Duplex / ARK compatible bag on top of the Scabbard by mounting it on the internal core exposed through the front vertical zipper.
It uses a two-part Scabbard system, an inner muzzle cone that rides on two tracks, three webbing tabs at the top back for the top strap, and a dual posi-locking cord closure at the top drawstring to help keep the rifle centered and reduce side-to-side sway.
The bottom 11" of the muzzle cone front and back are lined with fiberglass to help handle heat from a suppressor or warm barrel. The description also warns that it will not keep a red-hot can from melting the fabric on the other side, so the firearm should be allowed to cool before insertion.
