Considerations & Trade-offs
- Creates a 15' mosquito-free zone, so coverage is limited to the immediate area rather than full-camp or broad perimeter use.
- Requires both repeller mats and a butane cartridge, so it is not a standalone device and involves ongoing consumable replacements.
- Each mat lasts 4 hours and each cartridge up to 12 hours, which means protection time depends on keeping supplies on hand.
- Designed for silent and virtually odorless operation, but it still relies on a heated repellent system rather than a spray- or lotion-based approach.
