Considerations & Trade-offs
- At 3 lbs., it adds noticeable weight to a pack, so it’s better suited to vehicle storage or camp use than ultralight carry.
- The 23" unfolded length offers useful leverage, but the folded size still takes up more space than a compact hand tool.
- Its heavy-duty metal head and serrated edges are practical for digging, but the description does not specify any dedicated cutting or sawing use.
- As a used surplus item, condition may vary from piece to piece, so buyers should expect some cosmetic wear.
