Considerations & Trade-offs
- The 3-15x magnification range is well suited to hunting use, but it does not extend into higher-power precision territory.
- At 42mm, the objective size keeps the scope compact, though it may not gather as much light as larger-objective models in very low light.
- The HSR-5i reticle is in the second focal plane, so reticle subtensions are not constant across the full magnification range.
- Rings are not included, so mounting hardware will need to be selected separately.
Suggested Comparisons
- Long-range hunting rifle scopes
- Lightweight hunting rifle scopes
- Illuminated reticle scopes
- Second focal plane rifle scopes
Suggested Accessories
- Rifle scope rings

- Flip-up scope caps
