Overview
The Weatherby Vanguard is a budget-friendly bolt-action rifle introduced in 1970 by Weatherby, Inc. to offer an affordable alternative to the high-end Mark V. Roy Weatherby partnered with Japan's Howa Machinery to build the rifle using a modified Howa 1500 action. This firearm is a classic with wood stock with a non threaded barrel. As can be seen in photos there is a crack behind the bolt under the action. This sports a Leupold VariX II 3X9 scope
