Overview
Designed for anglers who want a live-bait-style presentation without the hassle of keeping bait alive, this minnow bait is built around Berkley’s Gulp! Alive! formula. It is soaked in attractant and can be returned to the jar to recharge its effectiveness, making it a practical option for repeated use. The colors are intended to match the hatch, and the bait can be rigged and fished like a live bait minnow. Compared with live bait, it offers a more durable and convenient approach while still aiming to deliver lifelike scent, taste, and texture.

Considerations & Trade-offs
- Requires the matching jar system to recharge effectiveness, so it is less self-contained than a standard soft bait.
- Designed as an alternative to live bait, which may not suit anglers who prefer the presentation and handling of actual minnows.
- Performance is tied to the attractant and water-based formula, so keeping the bait stored and ready matters more than with a simple dry soft plastic.
- Color-matching to the hatch is useful, but it also means choosing the right color for local conditions is part of the setup.
