Considerations & Trade-offs
- The 21dB noise reduction rating is useful for many shooting and hunting situations, but it is not a substitute for higher-rated protection when conditions call for more attenuation.
- Sound Activated Compression and amplified voices help preserve situational awareness, yet the audio response is still electronic and may not feel as natural as passive hearing protection.
- The behind-the-neck design can be more comfortable for extended wear, but fit and compatibility may vary depending on hats, collars, or other gear.
- The 3.5mm input jack adds audio versatility, though using it means managing another connected device and cable in the field.
