Considerations & Trade-offs
- The 6.5-20x magnification range is geared toward longer-range work, so it may be more scope than needed for close-in hunting or fast, short-range shots.
- The 50mm objective and 30mm tube can add size and bulk compared with more compact hunting scopes, which may affect rifle balance and mounting choices.
- Side focus, capped reset turrets, and a fast-focus eyepiece add useful adjustability, but they also mean more controls to manage in the field.
- The Dead-Hold BDC reticle is designed for holdover use, but it still requires the shooter to understand the reticle and confirm dope for the rifle and load being used.
