Considerations & Trade-offs
- The stated 36-mile range is a maximum figure, so real-world coverage will depend on terrain, obstructions, and operating conditions.
- These are GMRS radios, so use depends on the appropriate channel setup and any required licensing or local rules for GMRS use.
- JIS4-standard waterproofing offers water resistance, but it is not the same as full submersion protection.
- The set includes multiple power options and accessories, which adds versatility but also means more pieces to manage in the field.
